MG Gundam RX 78-2 Ver 2.0 - Part 2

Continue from where we left off in Part 1, I will discuss on the backpack of this kit. I have never assembled any of the RX 78-2 backpack before so I can't really compare the differences. The backpack consists of 11 parts. The only downside i see is that the thruster doesn't move (AT ALL). But the cool part is that the beam saber holder can be closed when the beam saber handle is being used.

The complexity of the backpack is ...

Hidden by the cover -_-

The head unit on the other hand is a totally different story. It has the most part for a MG head I've ever built (16 in total ; more than the backpack 0_O). The piston at the neck area really enhance the look of this kit.

Some part of the head assembly, also painted the eyes of this kit

Head assembly completed.

More discussion about the head; as the designer of the RX-78-2 said "The helmet of the Gundam is inspired by the helmet that Japanese Samurai warrior wears. And I can't deny that as the Ver2.0 follow the lineart of the original 1979 TV series. And, IT IS AWESOME ^^

Next we move on to the arm assembly. I feel that the arm is kinda cool as it uses double piston for the movement. Also the 9 point articulation for the hand is totally awesome. More MG kit should have this feature.

Shiny pistons

Fingers of God

Only complete the right arm.

More will be reviewed in Part 3.
